Established as a jazz club 55 years ago, Session had long passed its prime when my mates and I discovered it in the late 1980s.

It was a total dive then and it still is today, but it’s a dive with a properly tuned acoustic piano and a drum kit on its still frequented stage.

They don’t mak’em like this no more. Hope it stays around long enough for me to hit that piano once more, provided I ever get my mojo working again.
